The Macpac Torlesse 65 EU Aztec is the strongest backpack you'll ever buy. Ready for all seasons; sun, rain or even snow. With the Torlesse 65 you will beat the elements. Take multi-day hikes through rugged nature in New Zealand, walk one of the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela or broaden your world during a carefree backpacking adventure in Australia or Southeast Asia.
The Macpac Torlesse 65 is the ideal travel partner. The backpack is largely made of the indestructible Eco Aztec material. This unique fabric is made out of recycled polyester and Fair Trade cotton that has been treated with a mix of wax and resin. This makes the material strong, durable, water repellent and rot-resistant. You don't even have to worry when your backpack is transported in the aircraft hold or on the roof of a bus.
The AirFlo Flexi-Fit harness from Macpac offers stability and comfort to make sure you can walk for hours. The sturdy but softly finished carrying system fits well from the first minute you start walking and the ventilation channels on the back ensure cooling. The thicker padded shoulder straps releases the pressure on your shoulders. This makes this backpack ideal for a multi-day trek, hut tour or other adventurous expeditions. The harness is adjustable on the inside so the straps do not slip during a hike in the rain. A rain shower is no problem because the backpack is equipped with a rain cover that you can quickly put around it.
Packing is really easy, because the Macpac Torlesse has a large opening on the front that you can close with a zipper. Furthermore, this backpack has the classic opening at the top. The bag also has a shoe compartment and spacious side pockets so that you can store and organize all your things well. The Torlesse 65 EU Aztec is equipped with many handy compartments for pens, keys and other things. The main compartment can be closed with a lock. Handy for traveling! All Macpac backpacks have been developed and tested in the rugged nature of New Zealand.
The name Torlesse refers to a famous mountain range on the New Zealand South Island. Macpac believes that sustainability starts with products that last forever. That is why we provide a 30-year guarantee on the Eco Aztec material. Are you ready for the next adventure?
AZTEC® PREMIUM CANVAS
Evolved to match the demanding New Zealand and Australian environments, AZTEC® fabrics are at the core of Macpac’s formidable reputation for rugged, weatherproof packs.
AZTEC® fabrics are constructed from a unique blend of hard wearing, long staple cottons and abrasion, and rot-resistant polyester fibres. These fibres are plied together to create yarns that are tightly woven in a durable cloth. Different yarns are used to create each type of AZTEC® fabric which gives them unique properties.
The cloth is saturated in a blend of resins and waxes to create a weather-proof fabric. In wet conditions, the natural swelling of the cotton fibres fills airspaces to enhance the weather-proofness of AZTEC® fabric. In a world of disposable technology, AZTEC® canvas shows our commitment to sustainability through creating high quality, durable products.

Locate your C7 cervical vertebra. Working down your neck, it's the highest vertebra that you can feel protruding near the base of your neck. No need to press hard, you should feel it easily through your skin. This point is usually a bit higher than your shoulders.
Its easier if someone helps you with this step. Measure vertically from your C7 to the floor in cm. Alternatively, mark the height off accurately against a wall or door frame with a piece of removable tape.
Find your Iliac crest. That's the highest point of the top of you hip bone at tde side. Make sure you are not taking the front of your hip bone.
Measure vertically from your Iliac crest to the floor in cm. Alternatively, mark the height off accurately against a wall or door frame with a piece of removable tape.
Work out the difference between the two heights in cm. This is your Macpac back length. It is typically between 32 and 44cm for women, and between 37 and 54cm for men.
